The sharp colored mountain, also known as Pallay Punchu, is a new tourist attraction that it has been discovered in the Cusco region recently
The attraction is located in the Layo region, department of Cusco, at 4,700m.a.s.l. (15,419 feet), from the top of the mountain we can see an incredible panoramic view of the Langui Lagoon.
The mountain of Pallay Punchu or Apu Takllo Apacheta. It is an impressive mountain range of sharp points, surrounded by other mountains and imposing snow-capped peaks.
It is a geological formation sculpted by the passage of time, it resembles an which is a traditional clothing in the Andes, with several colors such as red, brown, margin and others that are taken from the pigments of natural plants found in the area.

We begin the tour picking you up at your hotel at 4:00 am to then head south to the town of Cusipata, where we will have breakfast. Next, we will continue until the town of Langui, where we can appreciate the beautiful lagoon of the same name.
There we will see different animals and plants typical of the region. We will continue with the trip until the town of Layo, from where we will begin our adventure towards Pallay Punchu or Sharp Colored Mountain.
The approximate walking time is 3 to 4 hours, reaching the top we will have enough time to visit and take photos of this beautiful place.
Then we will take the bus and arrive to the town of Sicuani, where we will have lunch. Then we will return to Cusco in the evening.
