We leave Lima through the Pan-American Highway heading south towards Paracas.
Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Here we will have time to relax with the wonderful views of the sea from your hotel. You will spend the night in Paracas.

Today we will go to the Paracas wharf, where you will board an equipped boat, then you will go to the Ballestas Islands. Along the way, you will see the famous figure known as El Candelabro (The Chandelier), an enigmatic design etched into the desert floor hundreds of years ago. The Chandelier overlooks the ocean, so here you will have the opportunity to take pictures, as well as learn about the most popular theories about it.
You will then continue to the Ballestas Islands, which are inhabited by incredible marine life, with more than 200 types of migratory and resident birds, including Peruvian Pelicans, Belcher’s Gulls, Humboldt Penguins, Guanay Cormorants, Robin Cormorants, Inca Terns, Boobies Peruvians, Turkish vultures, among others.
In addition, you will also see around the islands hundreds of sea lions lounging on the beaches, sleeping on the rocks or swimming nearby. The islands also provide shelter for shy Humboldt penguins, who are usually seen at the entrances of small caves near the cliffs. The tour on the islands will last approximately 1 hour. Then we will leave Paracas to take a bus towards Ica, where we will see the desert town of Huacachina, and then visit the wine cellars. Peru is known for its large sand dunes in the Ica province. We will travel to Nazca in the morning and see one of the most mysterious places in Peru: the Nazca Lines. There you will be able to fly over in a small plane and observe the famous and mysterious Nazca Lines for about 30 minutes. The first figure you will see from the air will be the whale. This beautiful marine deity is located in the eastern part of the archaeological complex and was drawn on a large rectangular figure.
The following figure is a triangle, which appears on a small hill with 3 points. Then you will find the spider, a figure that, according to local knowledge, represents fertility and water. A few meters away is the enormous figure of the condor, whose straight line crosses its wings and points to the place where the sun sets on the summer solstice. For the first time on this tour, today we will travel through the Andes. We will drive up to an altitude of no less than 4800m.a.s.l. before descending to the Colca Valley.
At this height there is a fantastic view of the many volcanoes in the area. As you enter to the highland, you will enjoy views of serene lakes with migratory birds and llamas, alpacas, guanacos, and vicunas roaming the Peruvian Andes.
After this amazing trip, you will arrive at the cozy town of Chivay where you can have lunch, buy some snacks and drinks and walk around. We will spend the night in the heart of the Colca Valley, in the middle of agricultural terraces, with a special architectural style inspired by ancient Inca constructions.

After breakfast we will go to the viewpoint of the Colca Canyon where we can observe the majestic condors fly. The condor is a huge bird that is among the largest in the world, capable of flying.
Due to its great weight (up to 15 kilograms), and even its huge wingspan (3 meters); needs some help to stay in the air. For this reason, these birds prefer to live in windy areas, where they can glide on air currents without much effort. Andean condors live in mountainous areas, but also near the coast, where there are sea breezes, and even in deserts with strong thermal air currents.

In the afternoon transfer to Chivay, from here we will drive you by bus to Puno, towards the Titicaca Lake. This journey will take you through the endless plains of the highlands, you will enjoy amazing views of the diverse landscapes of Peru. The trip lasts approximately 6 hours, we will arrive late in the afternoon, to spend the night in Puno.

We will sail to the floating reed islands of the Uros, who originally built these artificial islands to escape from the Incas, who ruled the continent at the time.
These islands, also known as floating islands, are a set of approximately 80 islands built of reeds, an aquatic plant that grows on the surface of Lake Titicaca. The totora (reed) is woven and spread over another layer, in sequence to build the surface of each island.
These islands are inhabited by the Uros, one of the oldest cultures on the continent. Which dates back to times before the Incas. The inhabitants of this floating community claim to own the waters of Lake Titicaca. Each time new reeds are thrown on top to change those that spoil, in order to the islands continue to exist.
Next, we will sail to the island of Taquile where the local people will show us their weaving skills. This island has many traditions. Later we will board the boat that will take us back to Puno

Leaving Puno and Lake Titicaca behind, you will begin your journey in a comfortable tourist bus to Cusco, a ride of about 8 hours The journey from Puno to Cusco will take you through a high and beautiful mountain pass of 4200m.a.s.l. and along the Vilcanota River, steep slopes and Andean villages. We will stop along the route at some of the most beautiful and authentic places. For instance, we will stop in the great pre-Hispanic city of Pukara, characterized by its huge pyramids- you will visit the Lithic Museum where you can admire several artifacts from that period.
The town is also known for its traditional pottery known as “Toritos de Pukara”, (Pukara Bulls). After a 35-minute tour you will board a tourist bus and head towards your next stop in La Raya. At (4,335m.a.s.l./14,222 feet). This is the highest point of the route and it is here where the Vilcanota River, also known as the Sacred River of the Incas, is born.
We will continue with the trip to the fascinating archaeological complex of Raqchi. You’ll admire the monumental size of Raqchi and its temple, whose walls reach up to 49 feet (15 m) and was unique in the Inca Empire.
The Raqchi tour lasts around 40 minutes and will then continue to the last stop before reaching Cusco, “Andahuaylillas”. This charming 16th century town has a beautiful Main Square and the Church of San Pedro de Andahuaylillas; the pride of the town and its people. It is one of the most beautiful baroque churches built under Spanish influence in the Americas and is often referred to as the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas.” The tour around Andahuaylillas will last about 25 minutes before the tour bus takes you to the final destination-the Capital of the Inca Empire- Cusco, to which we will arrive late in the afternoon.

This day in the morning we will learn more about the imperial city of Cusco.
During this visit to the city you will be able to fully enjoy the beautiful mixture of colonial and Inca influences of the city. In the morning you will visit the Cathedral, the Koricancha and Inca archaeological sites such as Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara and Tambomachay, you will learn more about the Inca history and their types of construction. In the afternoon you will have free time so you can visit the city on your own. Walk along its small and colonial streets. The night is free to experience the famous nightlife of Cusco.

Today we leave for the Sacred Valley. Our first stop will be in Pisaq. It is an important tourist destination, known for its Inca construction and its handicraft market. Here we will visit the famous local market. Here you will have free time to wander around its cozy market and enjoy the local delicacies.
The Inca construction of Pisaq was an important Inca religious center. After Pisaq we continue our way along the river bank towards Urubamba where we will have lunch. After lunch we will travel to Ollantaytambo, city where there are remains of a huge Inca fortress where a famous battle between the Incas and the Spanish invaders took place. This battle was won by the Incas. Then, we will have some time to relax.

We leave early in the morning for the world famous site of Machu Picchu. With its ingenious architecture and its unique location in the middle of tropical vegetation. This magical place evokes mystery and admiration. Machu Picchu was discovered in July 1911 by the young American archaeologist Hiram Bingham.
