During the day you can discover the fascinating Sacred Valley that can be seen on the Vilcanota River. The Sacred Valley Tour begins at 08:00 am- We will the pick up at your hotel. Then, our guide will take you through a path that winds around the mountains north of Cusco. On the way we will stop at a point known as the Mirador (watchtower), from where we will be able to see the entire Sacred Valley. It was one of the main areas where the Incas settled. Later we will go to the archaeological site of Pisaq, where you will witness and learn about the culture of the Incas, you will be able to see impressive constructions and above all Inca terraces nestled in the mountains, which had agricultural use. You will also be able to see a huge Inca cemetery with more than 2000 tombs. This archaeological site is quite extensive, there you can see examples of original Inca architecture.
Continuing with the tour, after this incredible experience of having visited the archaeological center of Pisaq, we will go to Urubamba, a place that is 1 hour away from Pisaq, where we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Lunch will have several dishes prepared with fresh products in the area. After enjoying a delicious lunch, we will go to the next stop which is the archaeological center of OLLANTAYTAMBO, a unique place with a fascinating history.
Ollantaytambo is a beautiful town considered as the last living Inca city, with its original Inca streets, which are currently used by its inhabitants. We will visit the well-protected Inca fortress, this city is considered the gateway to Machu Picchu.
After the visit to this magnificent place, we will take the best memories and teachings of this place and then go to our last stop, which is the town of Chinchero, where a new experience awaits us. This place is known for its colonial temple as well as because it was the place where the Inca Túpac Yupanqui, the tenth Inca king, lived. This place is popular for its handmade textiles and fabrics that do not pass over time and are maintained by locals. To obtain the dyes they use natural plants. Finishing the view of this fabulous place we will return to the hotel around 19:00 p.m.
