The Palccoyo Mountains are unique for their majesty and impressive landscapes and rivers. We will also see the Andean cameloids; llama, alpaca, and vicuna. The best of landscapes animated by the beautiful and majestic Apu AUSANGATE Glacier that accompanies this incredible place.
The famous 7-color Mountain or Rainbow Mountain is the most widely visited by tourists. To get to this place we will have a 3-hour round walk. While to visit the recently discovered Palccoyo you only will need 2- hour round walk.

Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain Tour We will pick you up early in the morning (05:00 AM) from your hotel or from the place where you are staying in the city of Cusco, to then go to the South Valley where we will pass through picturesque little towns for instance, Oropesa, the place where the famous chuta bread is baked. Then continue to Urcos and Checacupe towns. There we will have our first stop and visit a small colonial bridge. At this place, we will have some drinks and snacks.
We will continue until we reach the base camp, we take a short and gradual ascending hike of 30 to 45 minutes to the Palccoyo pass (4880m.a.s.l./ 16,000ft). We arrive at the spectacular panoramic view of the 3 colored mountains and the spectacular peaks of Palccoyo, as well as the highest mountain in Cusco (Apu Ausangate). Then we will see the stone forest. We will have a one-hour visit to the different places that this natural attraction offers and we will enjoy these spectacular and beautiful views, to then return to the beginning of the walk, where a car awaits us to take us to the town of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch, after which we will return to Cusco.
